Does it make any sense to classify the year 2000 onwards as postmodernism? How is black clothes, goth music, goth culture, minimalist design, coding taking over everything, the internet making knowledge accessible to everyone and connecting all, coffee culture, opiods and most importantly, extreme women’s liberation on a mass-scale that has never been seen changing the very fabric of society postmodernism? It makes no sense to me. This isn’t postmodernism! And 2020 onwards, I don’t know what it is. It’s plagiarised postmodernism, it’s COVID-19, millions of deaths, it’s recessions, unemployed people, global economies collapsing, the rise of stupid and ugliness. It’s still not postmodernism.
