When we were growing up, the stories on television would all be about serial killers and serial rapists. The scene is different now. Serial killers and serial rapists after women have reduced drastically in number. What we now have are women criminals. That’s right. Most of the criminals I see being talked about are women. This is all specific to American television of course. But, if women are now empowered, they need to be contained and controlled by the law as well the way men have been to prevent crimes. Saying that it’s just a woman is no longer a relevant argument. Women are a new category now that are committing crimes that need to be dealt with and prevented before they happen. As women grow more powerful, the laws keeping them in check to prevent any misuse of their power need to be strengthened as well. This will require education and a huge shift in mindset amongst the masses for things to normalise and crime rates among women in the United States to fall.
