Even when we went for extra-departmental courses in the Film Studies Department, Anindya Sengupta started us off in first year college with Night and Fog and Hiroshima, Mon Amour by Alain Resnais so that we were immediately aware of the tempo of the background dissonance and resonances. Thank God for magnificent professors like Anindyada who gave us a true picture of the world we had been born into and the legacy brought down to us. Yes, it was right from first year college that all this had been taught to us by Anindyada, just as it should be.
