And if any popular or “fun” text has to be taught to university students, it has to be taught at the university level with alot of hard core backing, not Tintin’s grade 2 elementary level reading session! The “fun” texts can only be in optionals. It’st an English department afterall, not a pop. lit. department, and needs to adhere to the standards that are universal for English departments across the world. Intelligent people like Ishita who specifically picked areas like graphic novels as areas of expertise obviously never went to Tintin for backing, because it’s obvious from his teaching style that he knows nothing that he can actually hand down or impart other than perversion and false expectations from life.
