And then, when Anoorupa hooked me up with Supriyo, at that point of time I used to hang out with Hrileena and Poushali everyday. Those two are very good girls, proper academic types, very ethical, very morally upright, very sensible, proper noce people. At the time I was hooked up with Supriyo, Hrileena walked off with someone else just the way I had, Poushali was left on her own. If I was not hooked up, Poushali and I would have stayed friends. Supriyo would have never gotten into a drug circuit because he had a whole other group of friends that did not venture anywhere near any of the drug zones of Jadavpur. He would have stayed alive and flourishing. And everyone thought it was a tragedy, all that happened to him, because he was very talented in literature, computer programming which he had learnt on his own entirely from scratch, was an ace runner in school, very knowledgable about pooular music. If Anoorupa had not interfered, Poushali and I would have been hanging out. Now Poushali is very sharp and intelligent about the kind of things that happen in my life. She was perfect for me to hang out with, because I stay clear of danger, which means disaster for everyone can be averted. And it was a pretty calm and simple kind of friendship, happy, mellow, nice. And both of us were into studying. That’s precisely why Anoorupa told me that Poushali is stupid despite Poushali being a good friend of mine, I mean who bitches to someone else about someone else’s best friends? Because if Poushali is around, it’s difficult to get me moving in the wrong direction. Then you can’t do much in terms of damage and danger. Even if it is done, it stays within certain parameters and cannot go beyond a certain local level. That’s as far as they would be able to manage at most.
